We are looking for a volunteer or unpaid intern to represent Turtle Island Restoration Network in a statewide campaign against nuclear power.  TIRN was privileged to participate in the Musicians United for Safe Energy event at Shoreline, CA Amphitheater (with Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and host of other musicians) and to get the word out about the direct impacts of nuclear plants on sea turtles and marine life, and the larger threat that the ongoing nuclear meltdowns in Japan are having on marine wildlife. Like Japan, California also has four nuclear plants along its coast in active earthquake and potential tsunami zones and TIRN is committed to joining the movement to phase them out.
