Kimberley Scott Reef Action Draws Thousands of Letters

Photo of green turtle by Jenita Enevoldsen

Thousands of letters were submitted this week opposing offshore drilling in the Kimberley region of Northwest Australia. The untouched Scott Reef provides nesting, foraging and migratory habitat for endangered green sea turtles. Flatbacks, hawksbills and loggerheads also rely on this pristine ocean habitat.

Yet Big Oil and Australian politicians keep pushing to industrialize the Kimberley for oil and gas company gas profits and dirty energy. We won't let them!

Thank you to everyone who sent a letter to Woodside Petroleum and the Australian government! Download TIRN's detailed technical comments below.
