Kids' Coloring Page

Leatherback sea turtles feeding offshore of California rely on a clean ocean free from plastic pollution for their continued survival. The threat of harmful interactions with plastic pollution in their essential feeding area, known as critical habitat, is highest when plastic bag litter floating near the surface is accidentally eaten by leatherbacks as they feed on jellyfish in murky water.

This wonderful coloring page is available free for kids and teachers to download below. Created by artist Claudio Garzon for the Sea Turtle Restoration Project, it shows a leatherback swimming under the San Francisco skyline surrounded by a diverse abundance of marine wildlife but faced with plastic pollution.

Will it accidentally eat the plastic bag it thinks is a jellyfish?

Completed coloring pages sent to us are eligible for a fun and exciting prize! Learn more about using the back side of the coloring page as a letter to take action for sea turtles by contacting us at info@seaturtles.org
