Thousands of people from around the world voiced opposition to the Kimberley gas hub in Northwestern Australia this week. Sea turtle advocates generated more than 2,300 individual messages and over 1,500 petition signatures calling for the rejection of the proposed liquid natural gas facility in the heart of feeding, breeding and migratory waters for flatbacks, greens and loggerheads. Thank you to everyone who took action and asked their friends and family to do the same!
Turtle Island Restoration also submitted an organizational letter signed by several key groups and a comprehensive 30-page comment letter on the problems with the Kimberley gas hub and the failure of the environmental assessment. Download the letters in PDF format below.
