Personal Intern Testimonials
"My time at STRP has been truly rewarding and far exceeded my expectations. I was taught something new everyday. All the professional skills and experiences I have acquired while working at STRP, will benefit me in any career. I am very grateful I was able to work with such a dedicated organization." Linsay Elam, UC Santa Cruz Marine Biology major, 2010.
"When I turned away from the podium, I paused for a moment and scanned the room. Lined up behind me was an unending row of supporters for AB 376. Like others who have shown their support for the ban, I believe that I have to do my part ... I was honored to be part of this historic day." Ming Ong, Princeton graduate after testifying to ban shark fins (AB 376) in Sacramento, 2011.
"Although I have only worked here a few days I feel a lot of pride in the
work that I am doing this summer. This summer promises to be full of
life-changing experiences in which I will be able help protect an
amazing and mysterious animal, the sea turtle!" Brittany Bartlett, University of Miami masters student, 2012.
