Sanjay, una tortuga marina verde (Chelonia mydas agassizii) macho, de 53 kilogramos, hizo historia este lunes 16 de junio al completar una migración de 14 días entre el Parque Nacional Marino de Cocos en Costa Rica y la Reserva Marina de Galápagos en Ecuador. Sanjay es el primer ejemplar de esta especie amenazada en conectar directamente a estas dos áreas marinas protegidas, y demuestra la conectividad existente en el Pacifico Este Tropical, y la importancia de proteger las rutas migratorias.
