Donna Howe is an environmental conservationist, community volunteer and avid scuba diver. Her professional career as a veterinary technician, wildlife rehabilitator, and business administrator has brought her in close proximity to many animal welfare concerns. In 1990, she joined the staff of Earth Island Institute in San Francisco where she first met Todd Steiner, founder and director of the Sea Turtle Restoration Project. Since then, she has remained an active supporter of the worldwide protection of sea turtles and other ocean inhabitants. She lives in Woodside, Calif. with her husband, two children and a menagerie of animal friends.
