Stepph Sharpe is the development associate at Turtle Island Restoration Network. Prior to joining Turtle Island, she worked as an analyst for a local government parklands agency in the greater Los Angeles area and was active in a community collaborative that sought to foster affordable housing projects coupled with new open space. Stepph holds a bachelors degree in History and African American Studies from University at Buffalo. She grew up in rural western New York running wild in the woods and swamps. In addition to being passionate about wildlife conservation and protection of public lands, Stepph loves backcountry hiking and camping, poetry, experimental arts, and her cat, Naima (not pictured here).
