Stepph SharpeDevelopment Manager

Stepph Sharpe is the development manager at Turtle Island Restoration Network and brings a combination of six years’ experience in environmental conservation with a lifelong savvy and love of creative and persuasive writing to the organization, where she oversees foundation grants initiatives for oceans and watershed programs, online fundraising and activism, as well as donor stewardship and retention.

Previously, she worked as an analyst for a parklands agency in the Los Angeles area and was active in a community collaborative that sought to foster affordable housing projects coupled with new open space. She holds a BA in History and African American Studies from University at Buffalo with an emphasis on resistance and liberation movements. In her spare time, she makes poetry and music, runs an experimental art label and press, and co-leads a community habitat regeneration project on the Russian River.
