Francine Huang (August – September 2014)
Fran is currently studying Environmental Studies and Marine Biology at UC Santa Cruz. She previously interned at NOAA where she worked on numerous projects including monitoring the survival of endangered Coho salmon and Steelhead,
studying the effects of wildfire on Coho salmon and Steelhead habitat (recovery and prey abundance), studying the effects of temperature on rockfish fecundity, and working on watershed restoration. Some of her interests include marine biodiversity, habitat conservation and restoration, pollution and carbon sequestration, and sustainable fisheries.
