Consumers Report raises concern about mercury levels in canned tuna calling upon the government to update mercury guidelines and advises women and children to limit consumption

Consumer Reports issued a report today about high levels of mercury found in canned albacore or “white” tuna and advises women and children to limit their consumption and for pregnant women to not eat it all.  Consumer Reports also calls upon the federal government to provide the public with warnings about high mercury levels in albacore or “white” tuna and to update mercury guidelines and data.
