Actor Jeremy Piven won his arbitration with the Actor’s Guild earlier this year over his illness from mercury poisoning from sushi. Recently, the New York Times provided more insights into the illness and the battle he fought to retain his crediblity. The seafood industry and its allies continue to attack Piven even though the facts have proven his illness was real. This is part of the tuna lobby’s plan to demonize anyone who comes out publicly with news of mercury poisioning. Much like the tobacco, lead, pesticide and other industries who profit at the expense of public health, the seafood industry is pouring money into false information and propoganda in the name of corporate profits.
