Join Turtle Island Restoration Network in Galveston on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am CT for the Global Ocean Cleanup at East Beach, Galveston!

Be part of a worldwide movement to combat ocean plastic pollution! The Global Ocean Cleanup brings together volunteers across the globe in a united effort to protect our oceans and coastlines.

This year, we’re hosting a local cleanup at East Beach – 1923 Apffel Rd, Galveston, TX, and you’re invited to make a difference right here on our island. Help us restore the natural beauty of Galveston’s coastline while connecting with like-minded community members.

Volunteers will collect litter along the beach and record the types of debris found, contributing valuable data to global pollution tracking efforts. It’s a laid-back, family-friendly event with a meaningful mission — and your actions directly support critical sea turtle nesting areas and marine habitats.
