Bank Placement and Habitat Restoration Event | March 15
Saturday, March 15 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Get outside, learn new skills, and meet new people by volunteering with The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN). Help SPAWN maintain our restoration sites in the Lagunitas Creek watershed. This watershed is one of the most important habitats left for critically endangered Central California Coast (CCC) Coho salmon.
Meet at the TIRN office headquarters, 9255 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, at 10am to discuss plant placement for revegetation of riparian areas. We will discuss the Tocaloma restoration project site with emphasis on plants utilized for revelation of this site, which was planted 5+ years ago. Check out our handout on “Native Plants for Riparian Habitats” below to get acquainted!
At 11am we will move to the Redi-mix project site, located at the Buddha Barn, at 13201 Pt. Reyes – Petaluma Rd, Point Reyes Station, and will discuss plants utilized for revegetation at this site and work together to plant the site.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring water and a snack or lunch, sun/rain protection, and wear work clothes and close-toed shoes that have good traction. SPAWN will provide gloves and tools.
To RSVP please contact Audrey Fusco, at audrey@tirn.net.
