Habitat Restoration Event | November 23

November 23, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Get outside, learn new skills, and meet new people by volunteering with The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN). Help SPAWN maintain our floodplain restoration sites in the Lagunitas Creek watershed. This watershed is one of the most important habitats left for critically endangered Central California Coast (CCC) Coho salmon.

The focus of our habitat restoration events is planting natives and removing invasive plants. This habitat restoration event will be held at Alder Creek in partnership with The Inverness Association; located near 137 Vision Rd, Inverness, CA 94937. The address is located near the intersection of Sir Francis Drake Blvd and Vision Rd (park near the tennis courts on Mt. Vision Rd, which are about 100 yards from SFD Blvd).

Habitat Restoration volunteer events run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water and a snack or lunch, sun/rain protection, and wear work clothes and close-toed shoes that have good traction. We provide gloves and tools.

To RSVP please contact Nyna Hong, Watershed Biologist, at nyna@tirn.net.
