Last week I had the opportunity to visit our nation’s capital and speak about the importance of ocean and marine conservation with our legislators.

Below are some photos from my visit.

Joanna Nasar in Washington, D.C.

Outside of the Longworth building, meeting with staffers and visiting the monuments.

It was great to know that many California’s legislators are looking for ways to protect the marine wildlife that swims by our coast including sperm whales, leatherback sea turtles and blue sharks.  It was also exciting to learn about efforts to conserve our waterways and endangered salmon populations even in times of drought.

One of the things I learned in person was how important your voice and your signature and your support is to making positive change for our oceans.  So, right now I invite you to visit our action center and sign on to an ocean petition.
