Turtle Island Restoration Network celebrated World Oceans Day on June 8th by joining local no-profits at an event put on by the Ocean Conservation Club at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, Calif.

Tory and I set up an interactive table to educate everyone about the marine species that frequent the California coast. We had fun speaking to the public, kids and high school students about ocean conservation and habitat protection.

Of course, our mascot, Teddy the Turtle tagged along and enjoyed a beautiful day outside. The day consisted of authentic Hawaiian music and students walking around to each table to learn about our local and global environment and the role we can all take to enjoy a healthy ocean!
