The efforts of SPAWN in the North Bay were recently highlighted in the local news! CBS News’ Kenny Choi visited Marin County to see the work being performed, and SPAWN’s own Ayano Hayes was featured in the segment.
Removing invasive species and planting native species—work that SPAWN volunteers also help with during our volunteer events—was shown during the segment. Additionally, the low spawning numbers for salmon was a big point of emphasis in the video feature.
