With the recent completion of a new pollinator garden at our nursery, it’s time to take a look at numerous other projects getting underway at Turtle Island and from our partner, the California Native Plant Society (CNPS).
The California Native Plant Society’s annual native plant sale runs Saturday, April 1 from 9am – 1pm at the Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael. You can buy great plants and learn more about pollinator gardening when Charlotte Torgovitsky talks about pollinator gardens at 11 am.
Click for CNPS’ calendar of events.
SPAWN holds a seed starting class Wednesday, April 18 at our nursery from 1 – 3 pm.
SPAWN, CNPS, Greenplay, and the Marin Bike Coalition are sponsoring an Earth Day meet’n’greet the Samuel P Taylor Park on Saturday, April 22 from 9:30 am – 1pm at Redwood Picnic Grove. This is a family-friendly event, and we’ll have children’s games, creek walks and offer the chance to pull invasive weeds.
We invite you to stop by our nursery to watch our newest garden grow! Contact audrey@tirn.net for more information.
