Fresh out of college, Allie Chavez joined the SPAWN team of Habitat Restoration Interns this past August.  With a degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Allie is applying her studies through hands-on experience in the field.

The chance to see the changes you’ve helped create is Allie’s favorite aspect of working with SPAWN. She is also enjoying the opportunities to try out so many different applications of her schooling.

As a part-time intern, Allie spends her other hours working as a cashier in Berkley, hanging out with friends, and relaxing. Someday she hopes to travel to Europe and spend time in Prague. Until then, Allie is happy to figure life out one step at a time. She also enjoys soup with noodles and reading historical fiction or comedy.

A little known fact about Allie is that if she could have any animal adaptation, she would have wings to fly (they would be the type of wings to make her fly faster than superman!)
