Position Description:

The Land Trust Internship position will collect and analyze data on individual creekside parcels in the San Geronimo Valley, Marin County, CA to prioritize a list of properties for potential acquisition to protect riparian habitat and additionally possibly provide future affordable housing opportunities.

 

This position can either be a residential full-time position (and would include additional opportunities to work on habitat restoration projects) or could be a part-time position that would only require weekly meetings at our offices near Point Reyes National Seashore.

 

We are looking for candidates with a passion for environmental advocacy and conservation.

 

Responsibilities:

Helping to Develop a “Scoring” formula for identifying high priority properties

 

Using County data to review and score all parcels

 

Creating Excel Spreadsheets, graphs and Tables to Tabulate Analysis

 

Writing Reports and Outreach materials

 

Assisting in fundraising for Land Trust

 

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

Working Knowledge of Excel

 

Research Skills

 

Good writing Skills

 

Strong Motivation to Protect the Earth
