two-sea-turtles-donateThanksgiving is a great time to think about what you are thankful for and reflect on the year.

At Turtle Island Restoration Network, we are thankful for you – our members and supporters!

Together we make up a community of more than 200,000 environmentalists and activists, working together to protect our oceans, and our marine wildlife.

Below are some things Turtle Island’s staff are thankful for:

“I am thankful for all the active Turtle Island members who embrace and work with us to accomplish our mission to create a healthy and safe planet for all living things.” – Todd

“I am grateful for the fall and winter rain, which signals the salmon to run and transforms our beautiful redwood forest into a real fairyland.” – Catie

“I am thankful for our donors and supporters, who make it possible for me to work with such a group of smart, dedicated, and inspiring coworkers.” – Sarah

“I am thankful that we can provide funding and support to people working directly on sea turtle nesting beaches.” – Peter

“I am thankful there are laws and processes in place in the United States to address environmental protection and problems (even if those laws and processes aren’t as extensive as I’d like them to be…).” – Cassie

“I am thankful for the opportunity to share with public officials, agencies and the government the out pouring of public support for sea turtles, whales, dolphins and sharks. It is important to let these bodies know that we are watching and care about the decisions they make,” – Joanna
