Carole Allen is the founder and director of Help Endangered Animals – Ridley Turtles (HEART) and she managed Turtle Island Restoration Network’s Gulf Office for 14 years, and now serves on the board of directors. Previously, she worked as the Public Information Officer for Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. Her work to protect the Kemp’s ridley sea turtles has been featured in the book Eco-Barons and in Oprah Magazine. She lives in Houston, Texas.
