Downtown Galveston Cigarette Butt & Trash Cleanup | July 11

Join Turtle Island Restoration Network and Surfrider- Galveston chapter for a downtown cigarette butt cleanup Saturday July 11th, 2026 from 4:30pm-6:00pm CT! 

We are partnering with the Surfrider Galveston Chapter to host a Cigarette butt & trash pickup in Downtown Galveston! During last years cleanups at this location we removed over 1,500 cigarette butts and we are excited to have YOU join us this year! By participating in this cleanup, we are helping prevent this toxic trash from making it’s way onto our beaches and eventually into our ocean.

This is the perfect warm-up activity before joining Surfrider at a sustainable clothing company’s brand launch and/or wandering the Strand District for the monthly ArtWalk, enjoying galleries, restaurants, and shops showcasing art.

We will bring all of the cleanup supplies all you need to bring is:

• Good vibes
• A Friend!

Volunteers will help cleanup cigarette butts and litter at: Hendley Green, 2002 Strand, Galveston TX 77550 at 4:30pm-6pm CST
