Habitat Restoration Event | July 20

Saturday, July 20 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Volunteer at SPAWN

Get outside, learn new skills, and meet new people by volunteering with The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN). Help SPAWN maintain our floodplain restoration sites in the Lagunitas Creek watershed. This watershed is one of the most important habitats left for critically endangered Central California Coast (CCC) Coho salmon.

The focus of our habitat restoration events is planting natives and removing invasive plants at our two largest restoration sites, located in San Geronimo and Tocaloma. This habitat restoration event will be held at our Tocaloma site located at 9255 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Olema, CA 94950. Parking is available through the gate.

Habitat Restoration volunteer events run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water and a snack or lunch, sun/rain protection, and wear work clothes and close-toed shoes that have good traction. We provide gloves and tools.

To RSVP please contact Nyna Hong, Watershed Biologist, at nyna@tirn.net.
