July 5th Galveston Island-Wide Beach Cleanup

Turtle Island Restoration Network is leading an island wide beach cleanup this July 5th, 2024 in partnership with Galveston Island Brewing, Moody Gardens, Galveston Park Board, Surfriders Foundation Galveston Chapter and Ball High School Chapter, and Artist Boat! Check in will be at Menard Park and cleaning sites are all around Galveston Island. Specific cleaning sites will be designated based on your registration.

-Check in will start at 8:30:00 am
-Cleaning will be 9:00-10:30 am
-Weighing trash and returning materials will be 10:30-11:30 am
– Social hour hosted at Galveston Island Brewing will start at 12:00 pm
Please bring your reusable water bottle, a reusable bucket to collect trash with, and garden gloves. Please try and avoid single-use plastic/latex gloves and single-use plastic trash bags, this avoids adding additional plastics to the landfill.
