Litter Bugs Me & Nursery Volunteer Day | September 19

September 19, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm CDT
SPAWN Nursery

This Friday, you can help SPAWN make two positive impacts in Marin County for the environment!

SPAWN Nursery:

Join SPAWN at our native plant nursery to learn about native plants and how to care for them. All the plants cared for are planted within the Lagunitas Creek watershed to improve the local habitat. The Lagunitas Creek watershed is one of the most important habitats left for critically endangered Central California Coast (CCC) Coho salmon. Volunteer event hours run from 10am-2pm. SPAWN’s native plant nursery located at 9255 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Olema, CA 94950. If you would like to come volunteer in the SPAWN Nursery please contact Ken Bouley at kbouley@tirn.net.

Litter Bugs Me with EAC (West Marin Environmental Action Committee):

Join the SPAWN team and EAC to help our watersheds and wildlife, on the heals of Coastal Cleanup Day! “West Marin receives over 2 million visitors a year and is a gateway community to national and state parks, open spaces, agricultural lands, and a thriving residential community. Throughout the year, our roadsides, creeks, and beaches accumulate trash that ends up in the watershed and eventually right into our creeks and ocean. To combat this problem, we host roadside and beach clean-ups. We organize week-long roadside clean-ups in the Spring and Fall and hold beach clean-ups year-round. These efforts support clean water, healthy habitats, and safer wildlife corridors in coastal and riparian areas while also engaging the community in protecting West Marin. Learn how to get involved, register, or sponsor the event below. Our efforts are joined by Cleaner California Coast— a tri-county collaboration between Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Leave No Trace to reduce coastal pollution.” Please RSVP to Ken Bouley at kbouley@tirn.net on this item if you plan to participate as we will be arranging gloves, grabbers, buckets and vests!
