Hosted across the state, this campaign brings people together to clean up our watersheds and raise awareness for the health of streams, rivers, lakes, bays, and oceans. Taking place at Murdoch’s Pier – 2215 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX, this event invites volunteers to help make our island more beautiful while meeting others with the same goal. Participants will pick up trash along the beach and contribute to data collection logs that track the types of items collected. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a rewarding way to care for the environment and connect with the community.

The Trash Free Gulf campaign, a program of the Gulf Trust, is presented by H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future. We are working with partners across Texas in May 2026 to conduct litter cleanups in every major watershed and along the coastline. We can turn the tide together by keeping our local waters clean — for Texas and beyond. Through our collective efforts at home, we can ensure our waterways thrive and create a lasting impact downstream.

*Look for our branded table under the pier. Bring water in a reusable bottle and arrive early for a chance at raffle prizes good for every age! And please bring friends, sign-ups day of accepted.
