Looking to gain hands-on environmental conservation experience? Become a Seed Collection Intern at SPAWN this summer. Help us collect seeds of native California plants while hiking around beautiful Marin County. These seeds will be used to grow plants in our native plant nursery and restore endangered coho salmon habitat in the area. You will develop applied science skills with a focus on botany and habitat restoration.

Typical tasks will include collecting seeds at different sites (e.g. parks, open space preserves, etc.) under supervision of our Native Plant Nursery Fellow and cleaning large quantities of seed. Must be comfortable hiking moderate distances and working outdoors in summer temperatures.

This is a volunteer position throughout the summer; however, this is flexible. Having your own transportation is recommended, but not necessary. All experience levels are encouraged to apply.
