Estimated driving time from Golden Gate Bridge: 50 minutes
- Take 101 North over Golden Gate Bridge about 11 miles to the San Anselmo-Sir Francis Drake Highway/Richmond Bridge exit.
- Take Sir Francis Drake exit (left lanes, which head west and cross under freeway). About 3.5 miles after exiting the freeway you’ll pass through San Anselmo, where Sir Frances Drake Blvd. bears left.
- Stay on Sir Frances Drake Blvd. all the way (total distance approximately 23 miles). Continue on Drake Blvd past San Anselmo through the town of Fairfax, over the big hill, past Woodacre, San Geronimo, the Golf Course, Forest Knolls, and Lagunitas. From Lagunitas it is 5 miles further to Turtle Island’s headquarters. You will pass through Samuel P. Taylor State Park and the Devil’s Gulch parking area. After Devil’s Gulch, look for our sign.

- If you come to the McIsaac Ranch sign and the intersection with Platform Bridge Road (which is about 1/2 mile further on), or to Olema (US 1 & Drake Blvd, ~2 miles), you have gone too far.
